It's pretty obvious that we were all thrilled to see baby River and Krista today.

What a great way to spend our day!

Another walk in the ...

This weekend was jammed packed with animal fun.

The Leesburg Animal Park was a great place to visit.

We were able to feed the animals,
pet the animals, (Dads too!)

talk to the animals, and take a ride on them too!

Strawberry Jubilee

When I was growing up, one of my favorite things to do was to pick fresh fruit with my family. Today we drove 30 miles west and hit a wonderful little place called Great Country Farms.Reed could not pick (devour) the strawberries fast enough.
Everyone in the fields was distracted by Reed's constant commenting - "YUMMY Mommy! YUMMY Daddy!"

Mommy and let's be honest Daddy, was thrilled that she didn't go into labor in the fields.

Jackpot!

We took a break from the pickin' and had some good, clean fun -

bouncing and

sliding.

What a wonderful way to spend one of our last weekends as a family of 3!

Only Marylanders can truly appreciate this...Growing up in Maryland and a small town at that, every summer was celebrated with endless amounts of snowballs from roadside stands. After living in Virginia for almost 14 years, I have yet to find a stand to satisfy my cravings. This birthday gift from my sister is the next best thing.
Thank you for bringing back me back in time!

Little Helper

We've needed some extra help around the house these days. Reed can't seem to keep his hands off anything that fixes or mixes, so we have just embraced his 'help'.

Of-course there is always time to put our feet up after a long days work.

How ya like them apples?

These days when the fridge opens, Reed comes running.

Luckily he ignores the pudding snacks, popsicles and goes right for the apples...

and eating it all by himself is a MUST.

Owen came to visit this morning for a morning full of singing, snacks,

Pizza Party

Pop Pop decided to surprise the family with homemade pizza this week.We all chipped in to help with rolling out the dough,
adding the sauce,

and sampling the cheese.

I am still baffled as to why I continue to leave a 2 year old alone ... for even 10 seconds! When asked, "what happened Reed?" The response was "need sissue (tissue), Mommy".

Uh-huh.

I proceeded to ask him to clean up and this is what happened next...
