One fish, two fish

Earlier this week we got a huge thunderstorm here at the beach. We decided to head south and visit Ripley's Aquarium (hence the reason for the soaking wet shirts and heads). Reed and Jason got up close and personal with the Stingray.

Currituck Climb

We definitely stayed busy on our Easter Sunday. After church, we decided to stretch our legs and climb the Currituck Beach Lighthouse.

OK, so Daddy was the one who did the climbing - but we were a great cheering squad!

'Perfect' Timing

After 22 parent-teacher conferences and a few dreadful real estate tours, we packed up the family and headed south to Corolla, NC. Into a 280 mile trip, little Reed decided to fall asleep at mile 260!

We are hoping for some sunshine and relaxation this week - or really just some good, clean family fun.

Beach Boys

Though the parents did all the driving, packing, and cooking - the beach was all about fun for the boys!

Riding in the golf cart,

playing on the beach,
showing off dance moves,

inspecting sea life,

jumping waves,

and enjoying the pool!

What a fabulous week we had!

Beach Buffet

The beach just wouldn't be the same without snacks galore. Here are a few snippets of our 'beach eats':

ummm..ice cream,

and yes, MORE ice cream.

Don't worry, this week I am on a strict fruit and veggie diet!

It has been a hot week and the best way to cool off and burn some excess energy is on the beach!

Beach Bums

Mommy and Daddy decided last week that we needed a little getaway from our busy lives. We grabbed our bathing suits and suntan lotion and hit the road. Corolla - here we come!

Champ entertained me for some of our ride...just his silly face makes me giggle.

Once we arrived, we hit the beach. And actually, I don't think we ever left!

We discovered that jammies and

singing on the beach is the absolute best!

My Mommy and Daddy LOVE the pop up tent!

It buys Mommy at least a few hours in the sun...

and Daddy and Champ some time to fish.

Although they certainly weren't biting at all this week!

Champ took a break to play fetch --

and jog with Daddy.

I loved to sit back and watch everything and everyone around me!

Mommy and I dipped our feet in the water...brrr!

And in the end, Daddy and I ended up with the remote (again).
