Take me out to the ball game!

Yesterday Jason took Reed to his very first baseball game. The boys took the metro to the stadium and when asked, Reed said "I loved the train. It went reallllly fast and I went whoaa, whoaa, WHOAA!" Their seats were perfect to catch all of the action!

After a few hours, some peanuts, hot dogs and lots of fun...they arrived home, ready to crash.

But Reed had one more surprise to show. His very first baseball! One of the Florida Marlins was kind enough to pass it up to Reed during the game.
As Jason said "Reed might forget this day, but I will never."

Museum Fun

Sunday we took a trip to the National Museum of Natural History. It took Reed a while to warm up to all of the creepy fossils and animals with scary looks in their eyes.
Eventually he came around and enjoyed running through the exhibit and climbing everything within reach.

He and Jason were even brave enough to check out this big bug thing.

It was a great day of adventure!

Butterfly Mania

While at the museum, we also visited the butterfly exhibit. It was filled with dozens of different kinds of butterflies (not to mention people). Here are a few pictures from our tour, before Jason and I nearly passed out from the heat:

Man Cave

About 50 miles west of home, down a few winding dirt roads, you will find the most peaceful and adorable log house. It is a house that is filled with fun and a TON of 'man-ness'! Caterpillar toys, guitars,
and just plain old rock 'n roll!

Really - what more could a guy want?
Thanks Uncle Dan for a great afternoon!

How ya like them apples?

This morning we got up early and drove out west to the Stribling Orchard.

We picked all kinds of different apples, from Stayman to Macintosh. Daddy helped me to reach the high ones...
and Pap Pap had his own method.
Of-course there was plenty of time for tasting too!
We love Fall!

Lil' Trooper

Mommy and Daddy couldn't resist the fun of getting me a bike 'trailer' this weekend.
I waited patiently as Daddy strapped me in.
Ready to go!
Daddy made a few practice loops...

and I definitely got comfy and enjoyed the warm breeze!
I think it was a big hit!

Spring Fever!

With the temperature in the 70s this weekend, the Alexander family hit the streets looking for 'Spring' time fun.

We hiked around Lake Audubon,
and while we stayed dry, Champ couldn't resist a dip in the icy water.

We also ventured out to a new park where I crawled,

showed off my new 'walking' skills,

and swung way up high!

Weeeeeeee!!Mommy even took me down the slide!
We hope this weather is here to stay!

Goodbye winter...

Hello, sunshine!
We know it won't last forever, but the warm weather sure was nice.

I even got to check out this awesome train in Vienna on Saturday.

The countdown to Spring is on...
